anbu karangal will be held on 28 september 2009 at taman desa rasah,seremban,N.S.So its a one day event.so please do support for us this event.The event will start at 9am with the childrean in taman rasah jaya amman temple with colouring competition and plus with lunch and prize giving ceremony.Later on we will go to the orphange and play games wit the children until 6pm.There will be a prize giving ceremony also and tea break.

“ANNAI THERESA PROJECT PHASE 1 2008”

Indian Cultural Society (ICS) Multimedia University Cyberjaya, for the first time organizing its very own welfare event called “Annai Theresa Project 2008”. Annai Theresa Project 2008 is one of the major events organized by the Indian Cultural Society (ICS) for this academic year. This event will be conducted under Bureau of Welfare, inline to achieve the bureau’s objective. This great project is the result from the inspiration and respect towards the great soul and human Mother Theresa. This project is divided into two phases, phase one will be conducted in Bidor, Perak (West Coast) and the phase two will be conducted in Kampung Kerilla, Kelantan (East Coast). In this project, we will be serving three different generations, namely kids, teenagers and senior citizens. There were many types of program included in this project, such as Education Awareness Programs for Form 3, 4, SPM and STPM leavers; we will be guiding these students for their exams, university and colleges enrollments and also about the loans. Besides that, through this project we will be helping the poor one to get their free medical check up such as diabetes, eyes and etc. Many programs will be conducted, which will be well explained in the program section. Our aims does not only emphasize on excellence in the physical aspect of an individual but also on character building and moral integrity. Through this project, we have set higher goals, which can only be touched with the kindest support from all parties. This project needs the essence of motivation, encouragement, co-operation and most importantly, commitments from all members of ICS. Only then will our aim would reach its peak point of success.

OBJECTIVE

Ø Annai Theresa Project 2008 is a social welfare project.

Ø It reflects the contribution of MMU students especially ICS members towards helping the community in the rural areas.

Ø Build good inter-relationship among Multimedia University students with community in rural areas.

Ø Conduct welfare and motivation programs to aid the kids, students in estate schools and senior citizens for a better future.

Ø To support estate’s community and to have a better understanding of their culture and needs.

Ø This project would give MMU students an opportunity to utilize their leisure time with useful activities that enriches social responsibility towards the development of the community.

Ø Generates civic awareness to MMU students of the important in helping those who are living in isolated and rural areas. Exposes student to the importance of "nation togetherness".

Ø To encourage and motivate the parents about the importance of sculpting solid education for the benefit of a brighter future.

Ø To enhance the importance of higher learning and understanding.

Ø To implement the spirit of “Can Do” among students living in a rural area

INTRODUCTION

This provides details regarding the ORGAN & TISSUE DONATION DRIVE 2008 organized by the Social Development Bureau of the Indian Cultural Society (ICS), Multimedia University,Cyberjaya Campus.

This event endeavors to increase the awareness amongst ordinary people, the importance of Organ Donation as a potential life saving move

OBJECTIVES

Ø To educate the community of the importance of Organ and Tissue Donation.

Ø To inform the community what is meant by Organ & Tissue Donation and how it is being carried out.

Ø To enlighten the community on how transplantations have helped thousands of lives and how they can also play their part by signing up as donors to save more lives in the future.

Ø Via this program, we hope to widen the social circle between ICS members and the rest of the Multimedians.

Ø To develop and enhance the friendship and union among students from diverse cultures and attitudes.

Ø To instill a sense of responsibility towards the society in every Multimedia.

Ø To learn and share the knowledge learned via this experience.

Ø To cultivate in members, the key aspects of leadership and time management.

Ø To establish ICS Cyberjaya as one of the high profile societies of Multimedia University in Malaysia.

Finally there will be an event on ORGAN DONATION on nex year.It will be taken over by the welfare bureau for this event.So hope u people give us a good support in this event.Thank you

The Indian Cultural Society (ICS) of Multimedia University have been organizing estate projects since 2004 in Pulau Carey Estate, Banting to enable students in rural areas to be acknowledged about university environment. The project was initiated by late Mr. Bharani Panirselvam in February 2004. It showcases the importance of creating the urge in involving university students to execute social work among students who are isolated in various parts of inner capital. BHARANI PROJECT 2009 is one of the major events organized by the Indian Cultural Society (ICS) for this academic year. This event will be conducted under the Bureau of Welfare, inline to achieve the bureau’s objective. This project is being carried out for the fourth time at SJK (T) Ladang Chembong,Rembau. The main objective for this event is to emphasize the importance of education as well as ICT and to make this event as an annual event. Our aims does not only emphasize on excellence in the physical aspect on individual but also on character building and moral integrity. Through this project, we have set higher goals, which can only be touched with the kindest support from all parties. This project needs the essence of motivation, encouragement, co-operation and most importantly, commitments from all members of ICS. Only then will our aim would reach its peak point of success.

The Project’s Aim: the aim is to go and take te orphanage children to temple. Then give them a spiritual talk for 15 minutes. Get to know them by having ice breaking. Playing games and having a great fun with them.Last aim is giving them books and stationery for each children.
