“ANNAI THERESA PROJECT PHASE 1 2008”
Indian Cultural Society (ICS) Multimedia University Cyberjaya, for the first time organizing its very own welfare event called “Annai Theresa Project 2008”. Annai Theresa Project 2008 is one of the major events organized by the Indian Cultural Society (ICS) for this academic year. This event will be conducted under Bureau of Welfare, inline to achieve the bureau’s objective. This great project is the result from the inspiration and respect towards the great soul and human Mother Theresa. This project is divided into two phases, phase one will be conducted in Bidor, Perak (West Coast) and the phase two will be conducted in Kampung Kerilla, Kelantan (East Coast). In this project, we will be serving three different generations, namely kids, teenagers and senior citizens. There were many types of program included in this project, such as Education Awareness Programs for Form 3, 4, SPM and STPM leavers; we will be guiding these students for their exams, university and colleges enrollments and also about the loans. Besides that, through this project we will be helping the poor one to get their free medical check up such as diabetes, eyes and etc. Many programs will be conducted, which will be well explained in the program section. Our aims does not only emphasize on excellence in the physical aspect of an individual but also on character building and moral integrity. Through this project, we have set higher goals, which can only be touched with the kindest support from all parties. This project needs the essence of motivation, encouragement, co-operation and most importantly, commitments from all members of ICS. Only then will our aim would reach its peak point of success.
OBJECTIVE
Ø Annai Theresa Project 2008 is a social welfare project.
Ø It reflects the contribution of MMU students especially ICS members towards helping the community in the rural areas.
Ø Build good inter-relationship among
Ø Conduct welfare and motivation programs to aid the kids, students in estate schools and senior citizens for a better future.
Ø To support estate’s community and to have a better understanding of their culture and needs.
Ø This project would give MMU students an opportunity to utilize their leisure time with useful activities that enriches social responsibility towards the development of the community.
Ø Generates civic awareness to MMU students of the important in helping those who are living in isolated and rural areas. Exposes student to the importance of "nation togetherness".
Ø To encourage and motivate the parents about the importance of sculpting solid education for the benefit of a brighter future.
Ø To enhance the importance of higher learning and understanding.
Ø To implement the spirit of “Can Do” among students living in a rural area
